Fancy Pants of the Day - Steve-O Garrett

KATE.jpg
rtdfg.jpg

For today's Fancy Pants of the Day we open our belashed eyes and cast our gaze upon the Lone Star State, bringing to light an individual who's got more fanciness than horses, and we all know how many horses Texans have! With a style as thick and rich as black gold and totally his own, Steve-o Garrett represents what fanciness means down in the wild wild west. A night supremacist, fashion icon, seasoned goat farmer, fearless stylist and floral artist extraordinaire, Steve-o's understanding of fashion as a means of art, life, and self-expression remind us that you don't have to live on a coast to ride the waves of individuality.

The Fancy Club had a rare opportunity to chat with Steve-o during daylight hours, and learned a little more about his one-of-a-kind style, views on fancy and of course, the "KATE MOSS" knuckle tats....

Read the UBER EXCLUSIVE interview with Steve-o - after the jump!

FC: what is your favorite thing about yourself, physical or otherwise?

SG: I'd have to say that my favorite thing about myself is probably my personality. It can get me into all sorts of trouble. I can't fix any of my friends problems with it, but it can certainly give them a lot of new ones. Also, I really like my superpower. I can drink 3 boxes of wine in one night and still manage to walk to the store to buy another one. The guy that shows up with the box of wine is always the superhero.

FC: tell us about your tattoos. your motivation to get them, people's reactions to them.

SG: All of my tattoos started out as jokes. After living with most of them on my arms now they very much are a part of me. My horseshoes are on my arms to cover up where that crazy unicorn double-hoof dropkicked me. My Texas outline is there just incase I'm far away from home and I get really drunk I can just point at Texas and the cab driver will know where to take me. The birds on the back of my arms don't really mean anything. I got the pegasus that's on my left arm about 2 hours before I saw Dolly Parton live in Austin. My newest ink would be my KATE MOSS knuckle tats. There are no words to describe how amazing I think she is. Most people have very strange reactions to my tattoos. I guess it's because I don't have the same old-same old "MOM" tattoo or any of those WONDERFUL tribal tattoos that had their 15 minutes of fame in 1998. People really don't catch on to the Kate Moss knuckles. I think it's a combination of jealousy and not being fancy enough to comprehend such an idea.

FC: If you could go on a date with Kate Moss for one night, and do anything, what would you guys do?

SG: Well of course we'd hit up every bathroom stall we came across. We would most definitely not eat anything on the day. Actually, I think my dream date with Kate Moss would be to lock ourselves in a house playing dress up complete with a photo shoot.

FC: What does "fancy" mean to you?

SG: To me "fancy" means everything. The only way I know how to describe it is remember that feeling that shot up your spine when you heard that the New Kids On The Block were doing a reunion tour? Anything that gives you that feeling is fancy.

FC: Who's the fanciest person you know, dead or alive?

SG: Isabella Blow. I think about her all the time. Maybe my next tattoo will be a Philip Treacy hat…on my head.

Fancy Pants of the Day - Nelson Gold Candolino

P6130126.JPG

Last week we encountered a truly unique specimen of man...the Dogoman...

Nelson Gold Candolino.

When we saw him we couldn't help but stop and stare, frowns turned upside down, and as his radiant aura of positivity drew closer and closer as he pedaled across 6th avenue toward us, we felt our window for introduction quickly closing. We were frozen in time. Our eyes met. We gathered ourselves enough to stop him - mid-intersection - rudely interrupting his phone conversation to pass along our card, hoping he wouldn't be too mad at us for it. And it just so happens...HE LOVES US!

Today he sent us this glorious image...behold its beauty...AND WHAT A TALENT NELSON IS!

P4190327.JPG

We would like to thank Nelson Gold Candolino. For helping make this world a prettier, sparklier, better-styled and sassier place.

and so we sing....
"make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other Nelson Gold."

Sandy the Dandy and Charlie McGee - A Variety Spectacular

Variety Invite(2).jpg

The guaranteed biggest hit of the 2008 NYC Fringe Festival, Sandy the Dandy and Charlie McGee, is hosting a benefit extravaganza on June 25th!

Come join us downstairs at the Delancey Lounge, next Wednesday in your favorite pair of jodhpurs and laciest man-blouse, where the Dandy Fizzes will be on hand and the acts will surely make you laugh til you wet your britches, but only just a little.

The Future In Plastics will be performing as the house band with whimsical musical interludes and other aural delights. Other astounding acts include Sara Barron who delights the audience with her interpretive porn/monologue written when she was but upon the cusp of eleven years old. The Fancy Club's own Ramiken Crucible is rumored to be debuting a completely new musical act. Also appearing onstage will be Lee Davidson, pro-am competitive kareoke diva showing us her lounge singing skills in preparation for the Kareoke Showdown 2008 later this year in Tokyo.

After many more acts sure to dazzle and delight, nightlife legends and musical wizards Andrew & Andrew will take to the turntables and spin the crowd into one hot dandy dancing mess.

Please direct your browsing machine to toomuchery.com for more info than you can shake an appletini at.

Vergenza....The Fountain of Perpetual Youth.

2536350043_bed2430f0c.jpg 2537214294_a14beb7eb8.jpg

We oiled up our gams last Thursday and glammed it up for Vergenza's "Machinery In Reverie" erotic marathon launch party. Hosted by the Pleasure Chest and the Upstairs, the event was 100% pure, baby laxative-free gorgigreatness (new word). Guess that's just what happens when the spirits of fashion and fantasy travel in a time machine to the 1920's, meet in a dark alley, snort ecstasy, have an orgy, impregnate a skyscraper and simultaneously give birth....It's a VERGENZA PARTY!!!

LOOK AT US MORE!
